Why America is the Fattest Country in the World


There is one reason and one reason only why America is the fattest country in the world. It is our food supply and everything we put into our bodies. Instead of eating natural and good foods we stuff our faces with deep fried garbage and refined products with very little nutritional value. If you are fat it is most likely your own fault and the fault of the American society.

Every single time we turn on the boob tube we see advertisements for restaurants with horrible food and for horrible food in general. When was the last time you saw a commercial promoting vegetable or something actually good for your body? We make the bad food more affordable and we make it more accessible than the good food.

It makes no sense that a box of sugary snacks is less expensive than the ingredients you need to make a nice salad. Vegetables just have to be picked and shipped whereas other products actually have to be processed, refined, packaged, and shipped. Yet it cost less to buy the garbage foods than the good foods.

How do We End Up Fat?

There are two main causes of our bodies becoming fat, one we eat crappy foods and two we are lazy. Most would argue that stress is another cause, but stress is an excuse that we use to become lazy and eat crappy foods. Our lives are not that difficult that we gain weight due to stress.

However, we make it sound like in order to become skinny, which is not necessary; you must eat like a rabbit and become married to a treadmill. This is not the truth and it is all garbage. You don’t have to be rail thin to be healthy and attractive like most of the media presents it in magazines and on television.

You do need to be at a healthy weight because every pound you carry is putting stress on your joints, your feet, your back, and the rest of your body. Fat comes from unused energy and mainly, in America, it comes from soda and sugary snacks. Just the other day I was at Wal-Mart and some woman was talking about how much her 2 year old loves Dr. Pepper. Seriously, your 2 year old drinks soda. She said her child will have at least 3 cans a day. Guess what, that kid is going to be fat and already is quite chunky.

Soda is extremely cheap and it available everywhere you go. When was the last time you went to a restaurant and they had a good selection of juices on the menu? The only reason most restaurants even carry juice is to make bar drinks and most likely they are carrying juice cocktails, which are basically 10% juice and 90% sugar.

If you don’t want to be fat anymore change your habits. Stop eating and drinking garbage and start paying attention to what you actually put into your body. It is okay to have something sugary every once in a while and the occasional soda won’t kill you, but if you drink soda all day long and most of what you eat is made from white flour, white sugar, or anything else processed, then you will never lose a pound.

That headline might excite you because the new American dream is the magical answer to losing weight. We are so lazy we would rather have surgery and make our stomachs smaller than actually eat right and exercise to lose weight. Think about it….we would rather have someone cut us open and put a band on our stomach than spend a couple hours a week exercising to lose weight.

There are supplements that can aid in your weight loss, but it always comes back to diet and exercise. You don’t have to go on a drastic all salad diet, but you do need to look in the mirror and decide whether or not you are happy, then make the decision to actually change the way you look and feel the right way with diet and exercise.
